Emily on rope

ethaerial arts combines circus, drag, and variety entertainment to create inspirational, genre-defying live performances infused with a queer, feminist perspective, artistry, and humor for diverse audiences in the Bay Area and beyond.

Artistic Director, Emily G. Park, is a multi-disciplinary artist whose decades-long involvement in devised theatre spans the spectrum of roles from creator, collaborator, choreographer, director, designer, maker, to performer and producer. She earned a Certificate of Higher Education in Theatre Practice: Contemporary Circus from The Circus Space and The Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England where she was the only American trained as one of a hundred aerial acrobats in Britain’s Millennium Dome show-OVO. For three years, she was a featured artiste and commissioned designer with Giffords Circus (UK) and was part of the team on the Jerwood Circus Award for her involvement in the narrative multi-act, aerial-clown-equestrian act Living Dolls. Her specialty acts as aerial chanteuse M.Lee have been showcased in the USA, UK, and Ireland. In the Bay Area she has collaborated with and/or performed for Antenna Theater, Dark Garden, Earth Circus, Eat Cake Productions, Epiphany Sonic Dance Theater, Eye Zen Art, Flynn Creek Circus, and Jessica Ferris Performance. Emily is also an aerialist, stilt walker, and performer/entertainer for hire.
